Dexamethasone reduces risk of death in COVID-19 patients on ventilators, study finds

Treatment with low-dose dexamethasone, a steroid, reduced the risk for death among COVID-19 patients on ventilator support by more than 30 percent, according to preliminary findings of the “Recovery” trial.
