Serena Williams continues to win in what may be her final U.S. Open by defeating Anett Kontaveit of Estonia 2 sets to 1 to advance to the second round at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on August 31, 2022. Williams has said she will “move on” from tennis after the tournament.
