While I’m still trying to make last-minute travel plans for this summer, the fashion industry, as always, is thinking way ahead. If you can believe it, the spring/summer 2023 runway season is just a couple of short months away. Copenhagen Fashion Week will be kicking off the fashion month calendar on August 9th, 2022, and it has plenty up its sleeve. So what can we expect for the upcoming season? Of course, Danish heavyweights like Ganni, Stine Goya, Baum und Pferdgarten, and Saks Potts are all on the schedule, joining exciting up-and-comers like A. Roege Hove and Jade Cropper. Another highlight: On August 11, the winner of the Zalando Sustainability Award will be announced. Cecilie Thorsmark, the CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week, explained the importance of this initiative in a statement: “Together with Zalando, we hope to send a powerful signal to the fashion industry that it is possible to drive positive change if we dare to demand a high level of sustainability as a prerequisite for working together.” Scroll down to see the full S/S 23 schedule.
